School of Languages Holds 3rd Annual Writeshop

For the purpose of career advancement among academic staff, the School of Languages organised a writing retreat for members of faculty from 24th to 27th of May, 2016 at the Koforidua Guest Hotel, Koforidua in the Eastern region.

The retreat was meant for staff who had manuscripts at various stages of development. It was expected that at the end of the retreat, participating staff would have made significant progress or have their manuscripts completed for submission to their respective publication outlets.

Out of the fifteen faculty members who attended the writeshop, three participants each from the Departments of French, Modern Languages and English. The Department of Linguistics had six participants.

The Dean, Professor Nana Aba A. Amfo, urged participants to complete their outstanding papers and submit them by the scheduled deadlines to their various publication outlets. She also encouraged them to undertake more research activities in addition to their teaching duties.

The retreat was deemed successful and very beneficial by all the participants.
